Sit in Sukhasana, Easy pose. You can sit on a cushion to help tilt your pelvis forward and relax your knees to the floor. Place one leg in front of the other. Avoid crossing your ankles to avoid pressure on the joints. Lift your chest up to straighten your spine. Roll your shoulders up, back and down. Press the crown of your head up to the sky and tuck your chin in slightly to elongate the back of your neck. Palms facing up on top of the knees, thumb and index fingers touching lightly creating Jnana mudra, a hand gesture to increase energy in the body. 'Jnana' means wisdom or knowledge. If it feels comfortable, close your eyes. Relax your facial muscles and breathe in and out thru your nose. Inhale tummy out, exhale tummy in. Feel how your is body settling down. Your mind is slowing down.
